Meet the Founder
Pink is Possible, Inc. was born out of a family’s nightmare of hearing those four dreadful words “you got breast cancer.” Founder Monique R. Nichols was diagnosed on March 23, 2013, with Stage 3 Triple Negative Adenocarcinoma. Not having a history of breast cancer, Monique was shocked to learn that the lump her husband Carl Nichols found was malignant. Monique underwent nine rounds of chemo and six weeks of daily radiation. Grateful for the outpour of love, kindness, and compassion during her journey, the Nichols committed to paying it forward; being the glow to newly diagnosed individuals.
Dedicated to one day helping to cure breast cancer, Pink is Possible, Inc., a grass-roots voluntary nonprofit, seeks to create a world that understands there is more than one way to have breast cancer. To fulfill our mission, we offer on-demand emotional, practical, and evidence-based content that is meaningful to families of loved ones and those newly diagnosed in treatment, post-treatment, and living with metastatic disease.
Pink is Possible, Inc. has imparted wisdom and connection via conferences, events, a peer-to-peer helpline, and more for more than nine years. Today, we remain committed to creating a culture of acceptance—where sharing the diversity of the lived experience of breast cancer fosters self-advocacy and hope.
When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education, and support. And we are making an impact in the cancer community.
